The Aditya Birla financial services group represents ten lines of business and across these lines we are a significant non-bank. Short of core banking which today we are constraint from, we believe we can meet most of the consumers felt or unfelt needs. Now digital is a huge opportunity waiting to be tapped by any financial services player and the reasons are obvious- firstly, the channels are shrinking as against the growing opportunity and a channel is not perceived to be loyal to one category or brand but on the other hand you have consumers who have more money in their hands and are looking for advice and avenues to deploy their money. In the absence of any person who can’t reach out to them consumers will move towards the digital space- currently it’s more to do with shopping but if somebody looks at the space where you can attract, retain and grow customer relationship it’s a huge potential.
