A female entrepreneur you admire and why?
I admire all women entrepreneurs, as women have so many roles to play and choosing leadership amongst those, is applaudable. One of these women being Anita Roddick, founder of The Body Shop, because she grew her company from one store that was initiated out of economic necessity for her family into a global phenomena that serves 77million customers through its 2000 stores, while selflessly contributing oodles to charitable organisations around the world.
Mantra for success is?
– Resilience and patience: it makes you the best version of yourself.
– Timing: may not always be perfect, but just take a deep breathe and dive in.
Being your own boss is to you?
Being my own boss teaches me the importance of responsibility everyday.
Profile:
Gitanjali Budhrani, a graduate of University of Essex, is the co-founder of Sazerac Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. (Parent company of Bootlegger, Bangalore). Before her entrepreneurial journey, she worked for F&B giant JSM Corporation Pvt. Ltd. as the Regional Marketing Manager (South India) for brands like Hard Rock Cafe, Shiro, California Pizza Kitchen, Trader Vic’s, Pinkberry to name a few. She has also successfully freelanced as a restaurant consultant and has recently launched a fashion brand called The Prodigal Daughter.
