How can sales process be orchestrated for today’s mobile savvy customers…
We have signed up with a SAP company called Ibis with whom we have a big collaboration to develop the whole omni-channel strategy which means if you come to my store you can buy or I will home deliver it if you can place an order on the telephone or through the internet. Or in UK there is a very good model working in retail called “Click and Pick” so you could click on your mobile or on your laptop, you could place an order and you could say that I am crossing that street, deliver at that one hub so I don’t want to come to the store but I will pick it from there so thats called click and pick so various things are evolving so our attempt is going to be in the future and working with SAP for the omni-channel strategy is that we want to serve our customers every which way. You want to come to the store, we’re happy, you want to buy online, we’re happy, you want to buy online and we deliver at your place, pack it in the store, you want to pick it from the store, we’re happy, you want to get it somewhere else we’re happy. The point is we want the customer to be with us, whichever way it takes. So technology is going to drive a lot of this omni-channel strategy which I just mentioned.
