In the wake of the growing blogging community in India, Swarovski has announced a first-in-its-league blogger contest ‘Swarovski Style Your Way To Paris’ across three Indian metropolitan cities – Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai. This exclusive initiative entails bloggers competing in a style battle through August judged by an imminent panel of fashion industry experts with the final gratification being an all expense paid 3-day trip to Swarovski Atelier in Paris for one lucky winner.

While in Paris, the winning blogger will have the opportunity to meet and interact with Swarovski Worldwide Creative Director, Nathalie Colin in her design studio, interview her for their blog, witness Paris Fashion Week Spring Summer 15 Swarovski jewellery defile collection and be featured on Nathalie’s personal style blog, Wink. The winner will also travel exclusively with Swarovski in India for style events post the visit and be felicitated with a digital mentorship by POPxo.

This exclusive initiative aims to provide a platform to both established and emerging young fashion and style bloggers from India and give them an opportunity to showcase their unique fashion sensibility and style quotient.
Commencing today, Swarovski is inviting bloggers from the 3 cities to register with them via a micro site linked to their Facebook India page. A limited number of participants will be shortlisted by the panel from each city to compete in on-ground themed styling events – 5th August in Bangalore, 7th August in Delhi & 12th August in Mumbai. The style challenge will comprise of these bloggers styling themselves in 2 looks with Swarovski jewellery based on a pre-decided theme. The event closes with 2 bloggers being shortlisted from each city by the panel to progress into the final stage of the competition.

Talking about the association, Nathalie Colin, Creative Director, Swarovski adds, “Jewelry is a perfect fashion accessory in its own right, meant to emphasize a personality, finish a look and twist the simplest outfit in a versatile way, adding it a subtle touch of light or a high-impact sparkle let’s express your personal style from ultra feminine, casual or elegant..”

The 6 finalists will then be given Swarovski jewellery, which they style and promote via a blog post and on their social media channels. Simultaneously, the finalists will be announced on Swarovski’s micro site and the event will be opened to public voting. Based on the number of votes and the quality of the blog post, the panel will choose one winner who will make way to Paris.
