Quick chat with Rajshree Pathy, Member of DWENIndia

A female entrepreneur you admire and why?

I admire all female entrepreneurs as they face a lot of challenges to be able to achieve and get to positions of leadership.  Being a woman means having to play the role of a mother, daughter and a partner and society expects us to be super women.  My work brings me in contact with women in rural India and I salute their tenacity and sheer physical work to feed their children, provide them education and manage a household on meagre earnings.  Many such children are now engineers and doctors and have crossed the oceans to become successful and are brought up by such mothers.

Mantra for success is?

Define your vision, set realistic goals, learn from the environment, stay humble, remain focussed.

Being your own boss is to you?

Being a boss means assuming vast proportions of responsibility, being fair, treating employees like individuals and not a statistic on the payroll and providing leadership to the organisation, inspiring the larger society and creating value to all the constituents of the business.

Your DWEN Experience and how would you sum it?

DWEN has been truly an amazing network of brilliant women of all ages bringing in different points of view to success in business.  I have always respected the values of the Founder, Michaei Dell and that resonates in every aspect of the DWEN community.
