On the importance of customer centric sales automation…
The concept of sales automation we’ve been experimenting with it for the last couple of years at least. Our salespeople carry tabs today, when we go to a customer’s house and look at their kitchen we use the tab to click a picture of their kitchen and demonstrate to a customer as to how the product will look in their kitchen, how it would fit and where it would be sort of best used. If a customer speaks for example, only Tamil today the salesperson can give a demonstration in only Tamil through the use of the tab. In the good old days the salesperson would come back to the office and write out the whole report manually but today he doesn’t even write a report- the report is taken straight off the system and recorded in our SAP engine. So automation has eased the life of our people dramatically. It has eased product development process, selling process, increased our efficiencies and also helped us customize our incentives to the sales team. On a whole automation has improved our selling process radically.
