Where social networking sites are the latest hub for recruitment, ING Vysya finds innovative yet refreshing method to connect with young talents; yet to pass out from college. They have come up with a competition for their recent drive for engagement with students from B-schools; Hunt for the Lions – The ING Way.

The competition began on September 01 and targets over 80 colleges across the country to discover young talents. Participants will be required to come up with out-of-the-box yet practical ideas for case studies based on real corporate challenges. Best and innovative solutions amongst the entries will be rewarded with iPad mini and a pre placement interview with the Bank. The competition will continue till mid October.

This is the first time when a bank has adopted such method for campus engagement. The bank hired approximately 18% last year in fresher space through their other flagship programmes like Campus, ING Young Bankers Program, Trainees.

“While social media hiring continues to be the game changer, we are keen to leverage this new approach for our campus recruitment program. The key for us was to go beyond the academic credentials and give the students an opportunity to showcase their overall intellectual capability to the organization via this program.” said Mr JM Prasad, Chief, Human Resources, ING Vysya Bank.
