Digital Vidya, Asia’s leading digital marketing training company today announced the acquisition of Digital Academy India, a leading Indian digital marketing education firm.
Considering the growing importance of digital media and rapid growth of Internet based businesses, digital marketing training industry is poised for growth in 2015.
According to a recent report by GroupM, digital advertising will account for 9.51% of overall ad spend of Rs 49,000 crore in India in 2015. Among various ad channels, digital will show the fastest growth of 37%. To cater to this growth along with ever expanding growth of other digital media channels, industry needs to build a strong talent pool. Digital marketing education firms such as Digital Vidya will have to play an important role in bridging the gap between available and needed digital marketing talent.

Digital Academy India was founded in August 2012 by the husband-wife entrepreneur duo, Aditi Oberoi & Gaurav Oberoi. The management team was later joined by Anannya Roy Sen as a Senior Partner. The team has trained more than 5,000 professionals across the country. Digital Academy’s flagship program, Certification Program in Digital Marketing (CPDM), is a highly coveted digital marketing certification with a project-based approach.
Digital Academy has also trained digital marketing teams of a vast list of companies on customized corporate training programs. The client list of Digital Academy reflects variety, spanning from multi-nationals corporations to single-room startups, and from entry-level executives to CXO level strategy makers.
