Your advice to young professionals looking at sales as a career…

My advice is don’t chose sales as the last option. If you want to build a career in the field of marketing, sales is the fundamental block for you to become a very good marketer. Sales is also a process which takes you closet to your customer and makes you understand why he buys, which means at a time when you get into leadership positions in companies you will actually know when a customer buys. When and if people know this at leadership levels at a company they are able to innovate far better than people who have not had that experience.
