Sanjay is a serial entrepreneur in the new-age world of Internet businesses. His journey into digital started in 1998, when he co- founded Homeindia.com, one of India’s earliest e-commerce ventures. He has been in the digital world ever since, making him one of the most experienced digital professionals in the country. In 2009, Sanjay started Social Wavelength, which he continues to lead now, as Jt CEO. Now rebranded as Mirum, the agency is part of a global digital agency network, spanning 20+ countries and with over 46 offices around the world. Sanjay as such, is Jt. CEO, Mirum’s India office.
Social Wavelength, a full-services digital agency, boasting a roster of top Indian brands, as clients, was acquired by WPP group and is now aligned to J. Walter Thompson Co, a leading mainline advertising agency, of the WPP Group.
Sanjay has been a featured writer, guest faculty and invited speaker, at many industry publications, events and institutes, and has been recognized to be amongst “India’s Top 100 Digital Professionals”. Sanjay has been a jury member at the prestigious Cannes Festival of Advertising and Creativity.
Respected for his amateur film reviews, Sanjay is an avid writer and traveler, and finds his passion in creating new things (and businesses).
Sanjay has also co-authored the book “If I Had to Do It Again” based on his entrepreneurial experiences at Homeindia.com, and the same has been published by CNBC-TV18 publications.
Sanjay is an Engineer from the University of Mumbai, and an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, from the University of Southern California.
