What makes a good marketer?

A good marketer is one who ensures an engaging conversation of the brand with its customers. This means ensuring consistent delivery of three Rs- Relevant , Rewarding and in today’s age , real time with focus on customer promise

3 things you do to prepare for a meeting?

1.    Ensure that I am briefed about the topic or study if needed

2.    Have key notes / facts ready as cheat sheet to refer to

3.   Understand the audience attending and purpose e.g :  Is it a discussion or a review meeting ?

 3 things you look for when you hire a person?

1. Thought leadership

2. Ability to deliver with proven examples

3. Passion – preferably in areas outside of work.

Key is if you have a purpose and passion which is outside of  work, it usually reflects for your work also

Where do you think Marketing is headed?

Marketing is moving towards a hybrid Marketing technology vertical where use of tech whether Digital or Data will play a pivotal role. However this will also allow marketers to serve real time offering to the customer.

What would you say to someone who aspires to be in marketing?

Marketing is the field that allows you multiple channels to connect with end users. It’s immense satisfying and fun but at the same time need you to be on your toes all the time .

What are a few activities you do at your leisure?

Reading esp. catch up on latest trends in politics, business and sometimes Bollywood.

Do you love/ hate data?

Love data . It gives you so much customer insights which no other research can at times.

One app that you cannot do without?

Can live without any app but yes not without access to my phone.
