Concept of the Film
The film is the journey of the Louis Philippe man across the beautiful successful world that he lives in, that’s his to command. Yet we see a sense of restlessness in him, as he seeks something only he knows. Moments spent on interesting experiences are juxtaposed with moments of quietness to bring out this sense of looking beyond.
While the beautiful estate, the car and butler show his ‘success’, we see spectacular sequences like the whirling dervish and lantern festival that show experiences that are rich and meaningful. Through the film, in an understated and unobtrusive way that’s the Louis Philippe way, we see hints of the crest subtly woven into the visual narrative, hinting at this elusive thing he is looking for. In a beautiful climax , we see the crest on a lone lantern high in the sky, dazzling in its beauty and a hand come out as if to try and grasp it. The VO clearly sets the context in its clear and inspiring prose. The music is designed to follow the journey of the man, the journey towards excellence. With subtle changeovers and a classic melody, the music adds dimension and emotion to this exceptional journey.
